Pour souligner son 25e anniversaire, le club d’échecs Spitanja de Niš (prononcer Nisch) organise, début juin 2026, un grand festival international échiquéen pour joueurs handicapés visuels intitulé: 25e tournoi d’échecs international «saint Constantin et impératrice Hélène», Niš 2026 pour non et malvoyants.

On the occasion of marking the “25 Years of Existence and Work,” the Blind Chess Club SVITANJA from Niš is organizing a major chess festival for blind and visually impaired chess players from all around the world, titled:
25th International Chess Tournament for the Blind and Visually Impaired “St. Constantine and Empress Helena” – Niš 2026.
The festival will take place from June 3 to June 7, 2026, in Niš, and will include:
• “A” Tournament (9 rounds, 60 min + 30 sec increment, rated, 3½ board-and-lodging days)
• “B” Tournament (7 rounds, 50 min + 10 sec increment, 2 board-and-lodging days, from June 5 to June 7)
• Women’s Tournament – if more than 6 female competitors register
• Social gathering for participants and entertainment program (June 6 at 20:00)
Prize Fund: Trophies and medals, as well as monetary prize of 2.000 EUR and material awards for the winners.
The estimated full-board price is approximately 55 EUR per person.
All precise details will be included in the official tournament announcement, to be published by the end of February 2026.
